Shirley worked for the Parker Pen company in Janesville as a telephone operator, where she met James E. Treptow while he was working on a remodel of the building. She heard his voice first, and knew she had to meet him.
Shirley married Jim in 1950, and in 1959 they moved to Mesa, AZ. Shortly before retiring from Motorola, she and Jim moved to Fountain Hills, AZ to enjoy their retirement years.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Jim and son Jeff. She leaves behind so many people who will miss her smile, laugh, and joyous personality. Among them are son Gary Treptow, daughter Debi (Kevin) Kealey, four grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Many nieces and nephews are still in the Wisconsin/Illinois area who she loved dearly.
Her wishes of no funeral will be granted. Her favorite charity was St Jude Children’s Hospital, however, for any donations.
