

Stephen Paul Boucher passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, at the age of 80 in Mesa, Arizona. Born on January 21, 1944, in St. Albans, VT, Steve was a beloved figure in his community and among his extensive family.
Steve's early education was at St. Anne's Academy in Swanton, VT, followed by his studies at Champlain College's business school in Burlington, VT. His professional life began at the Chittenden Trust Company, where he worked at and managed several branches. Eventually, Steve found his true calling as an independent real estate broker in Swanton, where he handled numerous property transactions throughout northwest Vermont.
Steve was a kind and easy-going man who cherished the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, especially ice fishing on northern Lake Champlain. He loved duck hunting during the annual fall migration from his duck camp with family and friends, and enjoyed deer hunting as well. After relocating to Arizona in the early 2000s, loved getting field reports on outdoor adventures back home through calls with his family. He was an active member of multiple wildlife and conservation organizations, with a notable involvement in the Lake Champlain Walleye Association.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Frances, his sons Chris (Kristin), David (fiancée Kim), Brendan (girlfriend Christine), and Ryan (Vanessa); his grandchildren Avery, Riley, Keagan, Juliet, and Decker. He is also survived by Frances' children Allen, Karen, Ross, Daniel, and Carol, and their nine children. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, R. Leonard and Maunie Boucher.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Steve's memory are encouraged to make a charitable donation to a wildlife or conservation organization of their choice, reflecting his lifelong commitment to nature and the outdoors.
