

Susan Theresa Musumeci, affectionately known as Sooze, passed away on February 19, 2024, with family by her side, in her hometown of Glendale Arizona. She is survived by her only child Noah Musumeci. Surviving siblings are Thomas E. Musumeci, Christopher V. Musumeci, Gina F. Garrett , Patti Lezcano, and Faith Parker.
Born to Merrie and Val Musumeci on May 2, 1951, Susan was known to her siblings and friends for her generosity and her stand on social injustice, particularly Native Americans.
Susan grew up in Viers Mill Village, attending St. Catherine's, Immaculata and graduating from Wheaton High School. She continued her education at Southeastern University, Washington,DC. She was very proud of the neighborhood she grew up in and remained close with friends she made there.
Her career in the Federal Government culminated in her long desired field of Human Resources.
Susan's unceasing faith and belief in the power of prayer led her to participate in prayer groups throughout her life.
Susan's hobbies included reading, music, movies, storytelling, bowling, polka dancing and hot air balloons. Beyond her home, she was known for her volunteer work, particularly in charity events.
Susan's memory will be kept alive by her child, siblings, and large extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Her spirit of generosity, faith and an advocate for social justice will be remembered by those lives she touched.
