With deepest sorrow, we announce that Tyler Jay Cook, age 26, our beloved husband, father, son, brother, nephew and friend passed away suddenly on May 28th 2021. Those who knew Tyler have truly lost the most precious light in their lives. Tyler was a loving young man with a heart of gold and giant smile that will never be forgotten.
He was born on December 30, 1994 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Jayme Cook and Kyle Tompkins. As a child, Tyler and his family traveled and lived abroad in Berlin for many years and then in Germany before settling in Arizona when he was 15 years old. Tyler spoke fluent German, some French as well as some Turkish. Tyler loved his family and children, spending time in the woods, learning history, raising wolves and Norse mythology.
Tyler will be missed everyday by his wife, Brianna Cook; children, Kai Cook, Tyler Cook, Lilly Cook; parents, Jayme Cook and Kyle Tompkins; brother, Damien Cook; grandma, Betty Rogers; aunts, Michelle Davidson and Christina Probst; cousins, Ashleigh McMullen, Abby Davidson, Brenden Probst, and Erik Cook; as well as many extend family members and friends.
Funeral services were held in Phoenix on June 4th, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
