Virginia Florence Palazzetti

Virginia Florence Palazzetti, 74, resident of Gilbert, Arizona passed away January 5, 2013 in Mesa, AZ. Virginia was born in The Bronx, New York on May 30, 1938 to Nicholas John and Concetta Veronica Catania. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Secondo (Junior) Palazzetti. She is survived by her sisters Marilyn (Jimmy) Starace and Grace (Joseph) Autera; her sons Richard (Jean) Palazzetti, Jeffrey (Terra) Palazzetti and Robert (Michelle) Palazzetti; grandson Jordan Palazzetti; granddaughter Krystal (Robert) Wiley and grandson Anthony (Rochelle) Palazzetti and great grandchildren. Virginia attended Misericordia Nursing School in New York and graduated in 1959. She worked as an operating room nurse and operating room supervisor in several hospitals in New York and Arizona. She also opened and ran several free-standing surgery centers in Arizona. Virginia was an avid Bridge Player, achieving Life Master Status. She loved spending time with her friend Bob and was an awesome cook, loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. A visitation will be from 6 – 9 PM, Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Rd, Mesa, AZ. Graveside service will be at 11:00am, Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd in Phoenix.
