Wanda Lund, born, May 25, 1923 in Kensington, Kansas to Ted and Nellie Ruth Kinyon, passed away on July 6, 2011 at the age of 88 in Mesa, Arizona. Wanda and her husband Vern, who passed away in 1991, raised their family in Minot, North Dakota. Wanda's exuberant spirit and boundless energy were evident in her active life there, which included a career as a hairdresser and instructor at a local beauty college. Her many interests were horseback riding, golfing, bowling, and dancing as well as a lifelong passion for dogs, having raised and rescued many beloved pets. Wanda and Vern's home was always open to their many friends in Minot and their colleagues in the oil business, who enjoyed Wanda's wonderful home cooking and lively "sing-alongs" at their piano. Wanda is survived -- and dearly missed -- by her daughters Vicki Newell and Patty Lund and her grandchildren, Michael and David Newell. Memorial donations in her name will benefit her favorite charity, the ASPCA. http://www.aspca.org/about-us/faq/honor-memorial-donations.aspx
