Bill married Shirley Jean Schultz on June 21, 1957. Bill served his country for 30 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley; sons, Allyn F. Ball (wife, Mary K. Ball) and Robert E. Ball (wife, Dorothy E. Ball); granddaughter, Taya R. Norris (partner, Mika); and grandsons, Daniel E. Ball and William E. Ball. Bill was to become a great grandfather for the first time, to baby Willa Norris, on February 2. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Campbell and Mary Ball.
A funeral ceremony will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 12:30 pm at Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr., Mesa, AZ 85204. Visitation will be held from 10:30 am-12:30 pm. Private graveside services will be held at the City of Mesa Cemetery.
