He is survived by his loving wife, Trudy, (Buchte) Johnson Cummings, daughters Deborah Fitzgerald (John) of Thurmont, MD, Tricia Grisolano (Peter) of Mesa, AZ, Tiffany Cummings of Westminster, CO, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Donna Nicholson of Herkimer, NY.
After graduating from Florence High School, Florence, Colorado in 1962, he joined the U. S. Navy and served on the USS Lafayette SSBN-616 as a Nuclear Electrician, Blue Crew from 1964-1968. Bill loved his family, cooking, camping, the Green Bay Packers, and Star Wars. His ashes were buried at the Florence Burial Preserve, May the 4th, in the same town he graduated high school, with all the immediate family in attendance wearing Star Wars attire and in the background, the Star Wars Theme being played for the final farewell. We miss you dearly!
