

William H Morrow, 98, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the East Mesa Palliative Care Unit in Mesa, Arizona. He was born May 11, 1916 in Erie, North Dakota to John and Lena Henderson Morrow.
On June 27, 1940 Bill married the love of his life, Charlotte Ruth Hill. They enjoyed 73 wonderful years together until her passing in July of 2013. They lived in Fargo until moving to Dilworth in 1960. For the next 35 years they would raise champion Arabian horses. They would then move to Mesa, Arizona and enjoyed many years of retirement at Fountain of the Sun.
Bill started in the Civilian Conservation Corp at age 17. He also worked on carving Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota, using a jackhammer to carve the face of President Roosevelt. In 1950, he bought the World Toy Company franchise for North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota and earned an award for showing the largest profit of the 48 states.
Bill is survived by three daughters, Claudia (Keith) Jackson, Mesa, AZ, Penny (Brad) Kasson, Fargo, ND, Patricia Larson, Puyallup, WA; son Dana (Linda) Morrow, Horace, ND; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte; his parents; daughter Linda; granddaughter Heidi and son-in-law Bill.
