

Ernest Trevino, age 65, passed away on March 15, 2026. Born April 8, 1960, Ernest was a beloved, hard-working, humorous, honest, kind-hearted, selfless, and thoughtful man whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ernest was born in Big Spring, Texas, to Rafael Trevino and Elisa Rodriguez on April 8, 1960. Ernest grew up in Lubbock, Texas along with his 5 siblings.
Ernest worked as a mechanic all his life, a pursuit he loved and he took pride in doing things the right way. This quality and his mechanical skills gave him an amazing reputation for working with vehicles amongst his peers.
Ernest met the love of his life, Marina Reyes, in 1978. They shared 30 years together and welcomed two children, Eric and Maureen, whom he loved dearly.
Ernest was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Ernest also loved cookouts and drinking beer with friends and family—simple moments that became lasting memories for those fortunate enough to share them.
Ernest was preceded in death by Ernest’s parents, Rafael Trevino and Elisa Trevino; Ernest’s brother, David Trevino; and Ernest’s grandson, Isaac Trevino Umanzor.
Ernest is survived by three brothers and one sister: Robert Trevino, Hilbert Trevino, Manuel Trevino, and Lucinda Trevino; Ernest’s children, Eric Trevino and Maureen Trevino; and Ernest’s grandchildren, Chloe Trevino, Evan Trevino, Christopher Baez, Jada Trevino, and Angelina Umanzor.
