Gary Wayne Jones

Gary Wayne Jones was born on February 1, 1979 in Dallas, Texas and went to be with his Lord on January 19, 2016. At the time of his birth, Gary’s family knew he was going to be very special to them. His Paw Paw Jones even gave him the nickname of G.W. when he was born which stuck with him all of his life. G.W. attended High School at Spruce, in Dallas, Texas, and went on to do various jobs in his life including Air Conditioning repair and being an Auto Mechanic. Though he was raised on Riverwood Road in Dallas, G.W. also resided in Seagoville and Dallas for a time, but never strayed too far from his old neighborhood where he spent his last remaining years with his family. His family describes him as a loving father who would do anything for his boys. G.W. is preceded in death by his grandparents Doug and Sue Jones, his Aunt Glenda Jones, and his Nephew Robert Jones Sr.; Aunt Margaret Smith and Grandfather Wayne Smith. He is survived by his father Gary Lynn Jones; his mother Peggy Kile and husband Mike; ex-wife Amy Jones; girlfriend Tori McCraw; sons Gary Wayne Jones Jr., Michael Lynn Jones, and to arrive soon Gage Wyatt Jones; Uncle and Aunt Jack and Betty Jones; Uncle Steve Jones; Nephews Thomas, Justin and Robert Jones Jr.; brother and sister-in-law Jeremy and Kelly Monk; Grandmother Betty Smith; Aunt Linda Smith; Uncles Eddie, Donny and Tommy Smith; and numerous cousins. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home in Mesquite, Texas. A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 10:00 AM with a burial to follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.
