Gerald Wayne Bain

Gerald W. Bain, age 79, of Plano, Texas. passed away on March 19, 2017 at Baylor Scott and White in Plano, Texas. Prior to moving to Plano with his daughter he lived in Gun Barrel City, TX. He was born on February 20, 1938 in Dallas, Texas to the late Arthur A. Bain and Gracie Maebelle Hallmark Bain. Gerald graduated from South Oak Cliff High School,where he was a Red Cross Representative, Student Council, Key Club, Tennis club, Pan American club, Allied Youth, Football Manager, Ice skating club , ROTC, 4A class President, and A Cappella Choir. After graduation he proudly served his country in the US Navy. He married the love of his life Karen Elaine Knox on October 13, 1958 and the couple had four children. Gerald was retired from the US Postal Service in Mesquite, TX. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and animal rescue. He is preceded in death by his wife Karen Elaine Bain, his brother Donnie Bain and Great Grandson Newton Bain Maes. Survived by his children Gerald W. Bain Jr. and wife Sissy, Robert C. Bain and wife Suzanne, D’Onna B. Albinowski and Husband Brian and Michael A. Bain; grandchildren Gerald Bain III, Joshua Bain, Stephanie Maes, Tiffany Elhirrse, Emily Bain, Deniesa Carnes, Delanie Spradlin, Christopher Bain, and Shanna Bain; Seven great grandchildren; he is also survived by his siblings Ronnie Bain, Bill Bain and Marie Pierce.
