Though he will be greatly missed and mourned forever by all who knew and loved him, their pain is eased by the knowledge that he is rejoined with his beloved wife of 47 years, Debbie (predeceased).
Jim was the oldest son of James and Mary Tolson (predeceased); he is survived by his two daughters-Wendy and Katie, three sisters-Susan, Sandy and Rita, one brother-Glenn as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
After serving his country in the U.S. Navy, Jim spent the remainder of his life focused on being a devoted husband and a loving father, working tirelessly to provide for his family. Jim retired from Texas Instruments after 40+ years with the company; he then embarked on a new career as a Senior Electrical Engineer with Keynote Photonics where he remained a dedicated part of the team until his passing. This is but one example of his outstanding work ethic as well as his determination to provide for his family.
Though he often jokingly referred to himself as ‘a font of useless information’, he was remarkable well versed on an incredible plethora of subjects and had a love of learning throughout his life.
Jim was a source of inspiration to all that knew him; he always looked for the best in others and went out of his way to find some common ground between himself and anyone he met. In word and deed, he was a true example of what a Christian should aspire to be.
In lieu of a traditional service, there will be a celebration of Jim’s life held at a later date for family and friends.
Forever missed. Forever loved. Forever in our hearts.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.andersonclaytongonzalez.com for the TOLSON family.
