It has been my pleasure to have known Jerry as we've known each other since the Bank One days. And, he was also my manager when he asked me to come to CA to help with the bank accounts.
And, for more years than I care to remember, every June Chapman and I shared fun birthday digs. He would call me an old lady on my birthday and I would return the favor by welcoming him into the exclusive "old" folks club (I'm 4 days older than him). This year there was a big whole in my celebration with his passing. I'm going to so miss his wit and great sense of humor as well has his friendship.  I will take your spirit and the many great memories with me.  RIP Chapman.

Memorial Day is here which brings up fond memories of Jerry sending his message of "Thanks for Serving".  The message was sent to several of us that did not necessarily know each other...but we all knew Jerry!  Thanks Jerry.
Jerry became a frequent call buddy in recent years after an accident in 2017.  Originally he was just calling to "check on me", however, the calls became great catch up moments and just a little reminiscing.  Jerry would always end the call with "give your wife a hug for me".  That's Jerry.
My visits to Dallas or motorcycle rides starting in Dallas always gave me a chance to visit with Jerry.  Staying at his house was always a treat.  His welcoming hospitality was completed with my favorite scotch.
We had so many great memories, too many to recall.  The motorcycle rides and trips bring back my favorite memories, fun and more fun.
We miss you Jerry Chapman!

Where to start? I have know Jerry since late 2000. We met through a mutual friend and rode motorcycles together for many years. Jerry was always ready for a new challenge. If Jerry liked you he would seldom tell you. One of his favorite lines to use was, " Your not a friend, Your just an acquaintance!" 

So many stories come to mind about Jerry and his opinions from every day life, Jerry's riding style and abilities on many different bikes to fabricating and customizing his motorcycles and their parts. After fabricating the second or third header for one of his rides where he had baked on finish in his homes oven, Jerry commented that his home baked pizzas were tasting funny! LOL. 

Jerry always went out of his way to treat a soldier or policeman to a meal or just a cup of coffee while we gathered as a group back in the riding days.  

Jerry was a special person and one I was glad to have called a friend and not just an acquaintance. He is and will be missed.
