John William Craddock Jr.

John W. Craddock Jr., age 74, of Mesquite, Texas passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. John was born September 11, 1947 in Houston, TX to Willie Mae and John William Craddock, Sr. He was raised in Houston, TX and graduated from Austin High School in 1966. John served in the Navy for 4 years during the Vietnam Era. He married Liz in 1969 and the couple had 2 children. He was a telephone repairman for Lucent Technologies and AT&T where he worked for more than 30 years. In his spare time John enjoyed watching sports, reading, walking, and spending time with his family. His family and friends will always remember him as a very friendly, social and people person always very kind and caring.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Mae and John William Craddock, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Liz Craddock and 2 children, Melanie Sell and spouse Brian Sell and their daughter, Morgan Sell; and Jonathan Craddock and his spouse Brynn Craddock and their 2 children, Jaxson and Everly; and his brother Thomas Craddock.

A visitation for John will be held Monday, March 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 Military Parkway, Mesquite, Texas 75149. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 14, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1111 Military Parkway, Mesquite, Texas 75149. A graveside service will occur Friday, March 25, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Dallas Ft Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas 75211.
