Margaret Fulgham Tramel, born on March 1,1946 in Rusk, Texas to Charly Frank Fulgham and Willie Mae Light Henry passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, peacefully surrounded by her loved ones in Dallas, Texas.
Margaret married Charles Tramel March 13,1987 in Kaufman and resided in Dallas, Texas. She was a lifelong Christian and a member of Rock of Ages Church for many years.
Margaret’s interest included spending time with her family and friends, crafting and painting projects around her home, shopping trips with her sisters to Mardell and of course her trips to the nail salon. One thing that she truly enjoyed was relaxing on her porch swing with Charles with a hot cup of coffee and enjoying the peacefulness of the moment watching the neighbor’s albino peacock. And her absolute favorite things to do were to study her bible and boldly share her faith and love for her Jesus.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, daughters Tammy Lynn McCoy and Susan Rene Avant, son-in-law Earl McCoy and granddaughter Kaylee Avant. Brothers Chuck Fulgham, Roy Fulgham, Harold Fulgham, Bill Fulgham and Dub Horton and sisters Jo Keys, Jerri Williams, Betty Markum, Jackie Perkins, Mary Perry, Mazel “Sally” Sawyer and Emma “Frankie” Patrick.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Charles Tramel, two bio-children Terry Avant (Kim) and Tracey Posada (Ricky) and stepdaughter Tammy Perrett-Moulton. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren, Kenneth Malin (Tiffany), Desiree Bridenbecker (Matt), Stephanie Wilkerson (Justin), Tommy Avant (Brandy), Charles McCoy (Cortney), Jeremy McCoy, Teri Rene Kannady (Wesley), Jordan Posada (fiancé Lindsey), Marc Posada (fiancé Eva), Lane Avant, Diana Perrett, Ashlie Perrett, Bruce Perrett and Linda Moulton. In addition, she had 23 great-grandchildren, Aiden, Lillian, Kaden, Karley, Robert, Jessi, Gavin, Sebastian, Gage, Trenton, Liam, Anastasia, Kenzlie, Shayden, Brody, Owen, Juniper, Pyper, Drexel, Cole, Sadie, Eevee, and River. Sisters Dorothy Williams, Paula Watts (Tommy), Linda Combs (Benny), brother Wade Horton, sister-in-law/friend Beavely Clark and a host of other relatives and her close friends.
Margaret, or "Mama" or "Granny" was a beloved wife, mother, granny, great-granny, sister, aunt and friend to many during her incredible 78 years of life. Her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all those who had the privilege to cross paths with her.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 27,2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Anderson-Clayton Gonzalez Funeral Home in Mesquite. A service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, March 28,2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Anderson-Clayton Gonzalez Funeral Home in Mesquite, with Pastor Darlene Taff officiating. Interment will be held Thursday, March 28,2024 at 2:30 p.m. at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
