February 15, 1979 – July 6, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Oscar Quevedo, age 46, who died tragically in an accident at Lake Ray Hubbard on July 6, 2025.
Born on February 15, 1979, in Dallas, Texas, Oscar grew up surrounded by the love of his parents, Jose and Gloria Quevedo, and his siblings, Antonio and Diana Quevedo. Oscar was a proud father to his beloved daughter, Sarah Alyson Quevedo, who was the light of his life.
Oscar was predeceased by his mother, Gloria Quevedo, whose memory he cherished deeply.
He is survived by his devoted father, Jose; his brother Antonio and sister Diana; his cherished daughter Sarah; and his niece and nephew, Madison and Max, who adored their uncle.
To know Oscar was to love him. He had a magnetic personality and a one-of-a-kind spirit that drew people in and made them feel like family. He truly was everyone’s favorite—a man with a generous heart, an infectious laugh, and a loyal soul.
Oscar was a proud lowrider car enthusiast, a skilled and experienced boat captain, and a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan who wore his team colors with pride. Whether he was behind the wheel of his car, out on the lake, or cheering on his team, Oscar lived life fully and passionately.
His absence leaves an unfillable void in our hearts, but his memory will live on in every story shared, every wave on the lake, and every Sunday football game.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our family and friends who have come together to support us during this difficult time. Your love, presence, and kindness mean more than words can express.
A funeral service for Oscar will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9643 Ferndale Rd, Dallas, TX 75238.
