

Patsy Ann Skinner “Ma" age 91 passed away on January 18, 2022 in Waco, Texas. She was born in Ravia, Oklahoma on November 14, 1930 to Stephen and Jewel Whittington. She spent most of her early years in Leon, Oklahoma and moved to Dallas, Texas in late childhood.
Patsy was married to her eternal love, Thomas Skinner, in 1946. The couple had two children, Sharon and Stephen. Patsy excelled at being a wife, mother and homemaker. In her spare time she greatly enjoyed reading (especially crime stories and thrillers), cooking for friends and family and sewing fashionable outfits for her daughter, grandchildren and daughter-in-law.
Her friends and family will always remember her as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and caring friend. She was a devout member of the Town East Baptist Church since 1962. Patsy was a woman who lived her Christian principles every day. She loved her Lord and knew that her Lord loved and cherished her. In her later years, reading and studying the Bible sustained her and gave her peace.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Jewel Whittington, siblings Francis Jo and Keith Whittington, GG grandchild Nathan Maughn and her husband and everlasting soulmate, Thomas Skinner.
Patsy "Ma" Skinner is survived by her children Sharon Maughn and Stephen Skinner (Andrea), her loving sister Linda Burgess, grandchildren Theresa Maughn-Kennon (John) and Scott Maughn (Christina), great grandchildren Heather, Jordyn and Taylor, GG grandchildren Kelsie, Kaylie, Paislee, Harper and Oakley as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She lives forever in all of their hearts.
Graveside services will be on Wednesday, January 26 2022 at 1:00pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3920 Samuell Blvd., Dallas, TX 75228. The family requests that all attending please wear masks.
