

Raymond Cecil Hamilton was born September 3, 1930 in Point, Texas and passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022 in Mesquite, Texas at the age of 92. Raymond was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Anna K. Hamilton, son James Ray Hamilton, daughter Diana Hamilton, parents Raymond Ivan and Mary Alice Hamilton and his dogs Happy 1 and Happy 2.
Ray is survived by his son Robert "Bob" Wade Hamilton and wife Linda, grandchildren Major Brian Hamilton ( USAF) and wife Megan, Dr. Stephanie Hamilton, Jamie Hamilton and wife Heather, Heather Smith and husband Kyle and numerous great grandchildren who are all left to cherish his life and legacy that he leaves behind.
Raymond retired from the United States Army as a Sergeant Major after 30 years of dedicated service including a tour in Viet Nam, where he also received many awards and honors. He then joined the Dallas County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy where he worked for 11 years before finally retiring for good. Raymond was a lifetime member of the N.R.A., T.R.A., he was also a Master Mason with Solomon Lodge 822 for 55 years, and he enjoyed playing Bluegrass Music with local musicians. He was an avid military historian and hunter and just enjoyed being in the outdoors.
