Wanda "Jo" Joan Garrison, 86, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on 13 April 2021 after a brief illness. She was born to parents, James Arthur Craker and Irene Elizabeth Mitchell, on 20 February 1935 in Vera, Texas. She was the eldest of 6 children.
She had several hobbies that she enjoyed, one in particular was reading. She loved snacking on chocolate and peanuts while reading and often joked that she had read every book in her local library. She even developed a system for marking each book so she could easily tell if she had previously read it.
Jo loved learning new things; she studied Childhood Development at Dallas County Community College and spent many of her working years as the Assistant Director of her church daycare center.
She was well loved by family & friends and will be greatly missed.
Jo is survived by her children; Terry & Allan (Danielle) & grandson Xander, her sisters; Billie & Helen (Eddie), her brother; James (Linda) as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Irene; her brother, Jack; her sister, Betty and her granddaughters, Gabriella & Hadley.
Her final resting place will be beside her parents at Grove Hill Memorial Park on Samuel Blvd in Dallas, Texas.
