

Adrian P. Hamann Sr., age 87, passed away to his new life with the Lord on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. Mr. Hamann was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. Husband of Doris Shamp Hamann. Father of Adrian P. Hamann Jr. (wife, Susan), Ronald Hamann, Chris Hamann (wife, Sissy) and Donna Trahan (husband, Kenny Sr.) Grandfather of Rachel, Rene, Tina, Ronnie Jr., Brandt, Kendall, Kenny Jr., Ashley, Shannon and Eddie and nine great grandchildren. Son of the late Joseph C. Hamann Sr. and Emoughine Frickey Hamann. Brother of the late Joseph C. Hamann Jr., Genevieve Bagur, William Hamann and Roy Hamann. Also survived by his beloved dog, Skip and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Hamann was affectionately known as “Pops”. He was a National Guard veteran of the Korean War, he retired from Illinois Central Railroad, was co-owner of Lift Incorporated and was a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Church. Mr. Hamann was a wonderful father, he dedicated his life to his children and he loved his family very much. He was a very generous, loving man. He was very outgoing and had a genuine love for people. He loved to fish, was an avid Saints fan and took a great interest in his son, Adrian’s, horse breeding business. Mr. Hamann was deeply loved by all and will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday evening, July 29, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA and on Saturday morning, July 30, 2016 at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 4921 West Metairie Ave., Metairie, LA beginning at 9:30 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM.
