Alice Ruth Schneider

Alice Jamieson Schneider (Maw Maw), passed away on March 15, 2013. Wife of the late Herbert H. Schneider. Beloved mother of Betty Sumrall (Joe). Grandmother of Stephen M. Sumrall (Jennifer) and Michelle Brister-Rink (Jay). Sister of the late Dorothy J. McCarrick, Samuel Jamieson and Allen Jamieson. Great grandmother of Ryan S. Brister, Ross J. Brister, Alex S. Sumrall and Kaitlyn A. Sumrall. Maw maw was the most loving, caring person that cared for everyone before herself. Age 96, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie for 45 years. The family would like to give thanks to Canon Hospice for the exceptional car, especially Dr. Donald Persich, Brandy, Dimitrice, Lillian, Rev. Earl and Juliette. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 1:00 pm with visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
