Alvin is the son of the late Opal and Joseph Bickerstaff; husband of the late Mary Madeline Bickerstaff; father of Greg and Dawn Bickerstaff; step-father of Vicki Hunt Muller and Kyle Hunt; Grandfather of Jason Bongard, Christie Bickerstaff LaPlante, Chelsea Bickerstaff Fulton and Nicholas Muller; Great-Grandfather of Mackenzie Bongard, Elijah Futon, Samson Fulton and Van LaPlante.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service in his honor on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Leitz Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, LA 70006. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
