Andrea Antonio Lovecchio, Sr (Andrew) died peacefully at age 83 on December 10, 2013 at St. Theresa’s Specialty Hospital in Kenner. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie. Former owner of Andrea’s Deli for 25 years. Beloved husband of 37 years to Katherine Stringer Lovecchio. Born on December 11, 1929 to the late Joseph P. Lovecchio and Mary Ann Capaci Lovecchio.
Brother of the late Frank Lovecchio, Joseph Lovecchio, and sister Lillian Lovecchio Federer, Father to three children Joey Lovecchio, Donna Lovecchio and the late Andrea A. Lovecchio, Jr. Step father to Susan K. Case (Don) and James Kennedy (Bonny) Also survived by three grandchildren, Jeanne Lovecchio, Michelle Lovecchio, and Daniel Case. Step Grandfather to Ryan Swan and Kristen Guillot. Also survived by six great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at Leitz Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 9:00 am until 11:00 followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am Internment will be held at Lake Lawn Cemetery.
