Andrew Vincent Azzarello

Andrew Vincent Azzarello, age 41, of Metairie, LA passed away on September 8th, 2024 at his home. He was born on February 16, 1983 in Metairie, LA to Michael Azzarello and Catherine Campanella. He was a graduate of St Catherine of Siena in Metairie and Archbishop Rummel High School. He also completed some college classes in computer aided draft. He worked in the kitchen of some of the best restaurants in New Orleans, including K. Paul and Ralph's on the Park. He was also a gifted musician who loved to skateboard in his younger days. While he didn't have any children of his own, he adored his niece and nephew, Lily and John "Jack" Brayden. He was also a "duck dad", as he called himself, and cared for many ducks throughout the years, incubating and hatching eggs, and feeding them, as well as nursing sick or injured ducks back to health. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew "Chuck" Azzarello, Audrey Benefield Azzarello, Vincent Campanella, Sr., Meredith Knower Campanella, and his uncle, Christopher Campanella. He is survived by his parents, his sister Meredith Azzarello Brayden, his uncle Vincent Campanella Jr (Carol), aunt Susan Azzarello Crumley, his niece and nephew, and aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in Metairie, LA on Friday, September 20th, from 11:00AM to 1:00PM with a mass at 1:00PM and a private burial.
