Anna May Gallagher

Anna May Gallagher, age 90, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012. Mrs. Gallagher was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA since Hurricane Katrina. Beloved wife of the late Edward F. Gallagher. Mother of Edward Gallagher, Jr. (Rose). Grandmother of Melvin Duplantis, Tracy Duplantis, Michelle Rojas (Scott) and Jennifer Gray (Tom). Great grandmother (lovingly called GG) of Megan, Ryan and Hannah. Daughter of the late Conrad and Anna Wang. Sister of the late Philip Wang, Gerald Wang and Delores Hennessey. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gallagher was a very devout Catholic and was a parishioner of St. Raphael Church up until Hurricane Katrina. She loved her family dearly and was very devoted to them. She was also a loyal Saints fan. Mrs. Gallagher will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched so greatly. Mrs. Gallagher’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Chateau Living Center for their wonderful care and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, in Metairie, LA on Saturday morning, September 1, 2012 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM in Garden of Memories Funeral Home Chapel.
