Arthur Joseph “Art, AJ” Franz, age 64, went to his final resting place on Friday, June 20, 2014. Beloved husband of Suzan Pitre Franz. Loving father of Jonathan and Allison Franz. Stepfather of Ben, Amanda, Lily and Erick Stricklin. Proud grandfather of Lola Stricklin. Son of Mary Maloney Franz and the late Andrew Herman Franz. Brother of Pat Franz. Art was a graduate of Loyola University. As a young man he served as a deputy for JPSO and later pursued a life-long career in sales. He was a loving and generous man to all who knew him. He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Art had a passion for gardening which was exemplified by his beautiful plants and flowers in his back yard. When he wasn’t spending time with his loved ones he enjoyed the company of his cats especially Garfield. He will be sadly missed by his friends and family.
