

Her infectious smile and generous spirit comforted and inspired all who knew her. Audrey was a founding member of the UNO Women’s Club, an original member of the University City Civic Association, and a renowned Cajun cook who never met a stranger. She taught recreational cooking classes in Jefferson Parish and was an active participant in the Kenner ceramics program.
Born May 4, 1935 in Scott, La., Audrey was a 1953 graduate of Scott High School. She married the love of her life, the late Dr. A.J. Hulin, and moved to New Orleans where he was a founding faculty member at UNO.
In addition to her husband, Audrey is predeceased by her parents, Harris Breaux, Sr. and Lelia Legere Breaux, as well as her brother Harris Breaux, Jr and his wife Eva Mae.
The proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother is survived by sons Colin Hulin (Roi-Lynne) and Brett Hulin (Kris), daughters Belinda Hulin Crissman (Jim), Monica Hulin, and Angela Hulin Hebert (Carl). Also surviving are her grandchildren Kevin, Erin and Lauren Hulin; Jason Hulin; Dylan and Sophie Crissman; and Brian and Brenda Hebert. Happily, Audrey lived long enough to embrace her first great-grandchild, Kairi Crissman. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Audrey’s life will be celebrated at a funeral Mass Monday, May 20 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 3325 Loyola Dr. in Kenner. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, followed by Mass at 1 p.m. and interment at Garden of Memories on Airline Hwy. Donations can be made to the Audrey B.
