

Bennie Hue Jordan transitioned to the arms of our Heavenly Father at the age of 86 on Sunday, December 14, 2025, in his Metairie home. He was born on March 25, 1939, in Poplarville, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his wife Rita Gussman Jordan, his parents, Huey Basil Jordan and Mary Lou Smith Jordan, his brother Jerry Jordan and a nephew Garland D Humphrey. He is survived by his two daughters, Karen Ann Jordan and Tammie Jordan Nelson; two grandchildren, Tyler Jordan and John Nelson (Elizabeth) and three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Jordan, and Makenna; and a great-niece, Amber Gauthier. He is also survived by his sister Jimmy Lou Jordan Humphrey, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces, and great nephews.
He proudly served in the United States Army and the Mississippi Army National Guard, and was a member of Local Carpenters Union and the Sons of the Confederacy. His leisure time was spent in his hometown. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. The yearly fishing trips to Grand Isle with Rita and the girls and family friends was his favorite pastime.
His loyalty and love for his family is his legacy and will never be forgotten. The love he created and shared lives today in those blessed enough to receive it. He will be greatly missed, and into God's hands we commend his spirit.
Memorial Services will be at a later time in Metairie, LA and in Poplarville, MS.
