Beryl Ann Emerson Mills

On Wednesday, January 23, 2018 our beloved Bebbie was called home to be with the Lord. She was the beloved wife of the late Herbert E. Mills Jr. Loving mother of Gary Mills (Janet), Kevin Mills, Lisa Mills Matherne (Jerry), Missy Mills Heckler (Bruce), and the late Steven Mills. Grandmother of Nicole Mills, Jeffrey Mills, Michael Nissen, Christian Jones, Jasen Jones, Mallory Mills, Gregory Bassich, and Patrick Heckler. Sister of Sharon “Susie” Brouilette (Jim), and the late Joan Dautrieve and Ralph Emerson. Daughter of the late Ralph Waldo and Mary Alice Louise Emerson. Also survived by her great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Beryl grew up in Old Metairie, and attended Holy Angels. She worked as an operator for South Central Bell, also working for Gus Mayer and Godchauxs. She has lived in River Ridge for the last 50 years. She loved her beautiful garden, having family gatherings as much as possible, and just being with those that she loved. We would like to extend their most sincere gratitude to Fidelis House for the loving care they have provided to our mother and our family for the past year. Also to The Carpenter House for the love and compassion that they have shown over her last days. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 11:00.
