She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Kenner for 40 years. Beloved wife of Ronald Schmitt, Sr. for 46 years and mother of Ronald Schmitt, Jr. (Courtney). Grandmother of Lauren Cribbs Dodd (Chris) and McKayla Schmitt. Great grandmother of Madison Cribbs. Daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Borrouso Cochran. Sister of Kathleen Cochran Barron (Wilton). Also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Schmitt’s doctors, nurses and Canon Hospice who aided in her care.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 11:00 am at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will be in Chapel of Peace Mausoleum in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
