

Brian Michael Phillips Sr. passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the age of 58. He served in the United States Navy for several years. Brian was an incredibly loving man with a fun spirit who could put a smile on anyone’s face. He enjoyed traveling, including spending his last two weeks among family and friends on a mountain top in Nevada. Brian was an avid LSU and Nascar fan, and enjoyed traveling to many LSU bowl games.
Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Jones Bourgeois, father Joseph Rufus Phillips, step-father Gordy Bourgeois, and father-in-law Erby Michael Aucoin Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Aucoin Phillips, son Brian Michael Phillips Jr., daughter Jessica Phillips Placher and her husband Thomas Alan Placher, and mother-in-law, Rosalie Tullier Aucoin. He also leaves behind a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces including Heather Alicia Dudenhefer (husband Jon Marc) and her daughter Camryn Alyssa Wisler, nephews including his only godchild Nicholas Michael Gauthier, and many friends.
