Carol Hale Simmons

Carol Hale Simmons, beloved wife of the late Edgar Earle Simmons, died on Saturday July 14, 2012 at 6:50pm at the age of 83. She was cherished by her daughters, Kathryn Pierce, Kerry Vogt and Kim Davenport and sons-in-law Gary Vogt, Skip Davenport and Reid Pierce.

Her grandchildren, Korie Pierce Carrigee (Kevin), Wendy Pierce Leiva (David), Adam Pierce, Brett Vogt (Beth), Lance Davenport, Kelsey Vogt Napier (Brett) and Chase Davenport and great-grandchildren Lindsay Leiva, Caitlin Leiva, Devyn Pierce, Cade Pierce, Kailie Carrigee, Karsen Carrigee and Sophie Leiva were her pride and joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay Wilfred and Ruth DeHaven Hale and her brother, Robert DeHaven Hale.

She will be dearly missed by Patricia Hale Hubbard (Gordon) and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

The family offers special thanks and gratitude to the staffs of Emeritus at Mandeville and Lakeshore Hospice for their loving care and support.

Visitors are welcome on Thursday July 19, 2012 from 1pm to 2:30pm at Parkway Presbyterian Church, 6200 Camphor St. Metairie, LA 70003, with funeral services immediately following.
