Born on Christmas Eve in 1941 in Newark, New Jersey, Carol was the daughter of Henry and Lucille Mutz. In May 1962, she married John Ynsua, and they settled in Kearny, where they started their family.
Carol’s professional life was marked by her early work as a secretary in the executive offices of PSE&G in Newark. She eventually transitioned to her most cherished role—raising her five children. Later, she returned to the workforce, spending many years as an Inside Sales Representative for Wayne Tool & Supply in Kearny.
In 2006, Carol and John moved to Bozeman, MT, to be closer to family before eventually settling in Destrehan, LA.
A woman of deep faith, Carol was a devoted member of First Lutheran Church in Kearny, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent. Her passions ranged from music and Broadway shows to the quiet joys of reading and knitting. Above all, she found immense delight in "thrift therapy," always on the lookout for a bargain buy.
Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, John.
She is survived by her loving children: sons, John and Michael (Jacy); and daughters, Valerie (Mark) McGrath, Victoria (Beaux) Jeansonne, and Veronica (Eric) Sheckleton. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, her brother, Richard Mutz of North Carolina, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Carol will be laid to rest beside John in Bozeman, MT, in a private ceremony.
