Carolyn Ann Simpson Schindler

Carolyn Ann Simpson Schindler passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2011. Wife of Charles Harvey Schindler, Jr. Mother of Charles Harvey III (Celeste), Gwen Yeager (John) and Steven and Melissa Schindler. Step-mother of Marion Jackson. Grandmother of Lauren Fisher, Michael, Brian, Jamie, Steven, and Brandon Schindler and Katherine Aranda. Also survived by 7 great grandchildren. Sister of Monroe Simpson of Thornton, Arkansas and Richard Simpson of Altoona, Florida. Sister-in-law of Miriam Schindler Rohner and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eady Belle and Andrew Jackson Simpson of Thornton, Arkansas; 2 brothers, Raymond and Bill and 3 sisters, Marie, Louise and Shirley.

She was a bus driver with Jefferson Parish School System for over 40 years.

Age 72, a native of Thornton, Arkansas and a longtime resident of Metairie.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 7:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm until funeral time. Interment will be private.
