Catherine Ann Long-Rice Resendez Kinler, age 80, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 very peacefully in the loving hands of her husband, Donald Joseph Kinler. Mother of Victoria Ann Resendez Gallo, Jesse Resendez Jr., Darrin Charles Resendez, Lance Michael Resendez Sr., and Monica Marie Resendez Higgins. Survived by 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and dozens of nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of Alcée Fortier High School in New Orleans and continued her education at LSU.

Her hobbies and interests included family, gardening, sewing, quilting, traveling, family traditions, Broadway shows and Christmas. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her mother until she passed away at 84.

Mrs. Kinler is survived by 4 brothers, 3 sisters, 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and dozens of nieces and nephews, great nephews, nieces and great nieces.

A private family goodbye was Tuesday, April 4th at Metairie Crematory in New Orleans, LA. She was born July 31, 1942 in New Orleans to Marjorie Kraemer and James Long.

There will be a celebration of Life Gathering on July 29, 2023 at the family home.
