Charles Raymond Luttrell

Charles R. Luttrell, age 78, of Covington, Louisiana passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025. Charles was born on December 7, 1946 in New Orleans, LA to the late Leon T. Luttrell and Jenny Hartman Luttrell. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he contracted Agent Orange poisoning which caused him multiple health problems throughout the rest of his life. After the service, Charles worked as an Electrical Foreman for multiple companies throughout the New Orleans metro area. In his leisure time, Charles was passionate about hunting and fishing.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother-in-law, Ernest Monteleone.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Sharon Monteleone Luttrell; his children, Steven P. Luttrell (Angela Stearns) and Ricky R. Luttrell (Stefanie Robin); grandchildren, Dylan Luttrell and Madeline Luttrell; his siblings, Brenda Luttrell, Tommy Luttrell, and Gloria Lockhart (Claude); and his sister-in-law, Shirley Cook (Chris).

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 11:00am. Visitation will be from 9:00am until 11:00am. Interment will follow with military honors at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, LA.
