Unfortunately taken from us in a less-than-average life span, Chris did not live an average life. He was a true character always trying to make people laugh with some of his “antics”. He had a huge heart and ensured that his final act was an unselfish one.
Chris had an infectious smile, was encouraging, generous, and a great friend to many. He loved music and would dance to anything. He also loved his job as Systems/Technical Manager and the people he worked with at Vue Orleans.
He had a lifelong love affair with Totino’s Frozen Pizzas, tacos, sunflower seeds, and anything spicy. Even as a so-so golfer, he enjoyed beating his father in a round; or teaming up to carry him across the finish line. He was also an avid gardener, with the 2nd tallest okra plant in the world; his pride and joy and still growing (Guinness here he comes!).
He leaves behind his parents, Lynne Pearson Hanson and Joseph Vaccaro Hanson, brother Joseph Vaccaro Hanson II (Alaina Brynn Hanson), and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many good friends.
A memorial celebration of Chris’ life will be held on Fri. Nov. 4, 2022, at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd, Metairie, LA 70006 from 5-8 p.m. The attire is casual, just as Chris would’ve wanted it. And please do not wear black; this is a celebration of his life.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Chris can be made to the Molly Mae LeBlanc Child Life Fund at Texas Children’s Hospital online at www.texaschildrens.org/givetoday or mailed to the address below. Please be sure to note Christopher Hanson in the memo line or as the Honoree online.
Texas Children’s Hospital, Office of Philanthropy, Suite 6226, PO Box 300630, Houston, TX 77230-0630.
