Darlene Marshall Milliet

Darlene Ann Marshall Milliet passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday evening, January 23, 2015, after fighting for her health for many years. Beloved wife of the late John Milliet III. Loving mother of Ashley Unowitz Loiacono (Nicholas). Grandmother of Alexandra Nicole Loiacono. Sister of Cynthia Marshall Lasiter (Lyndon) and the late Raymond Albert Marshall Jr. (Laurie). Daughter of the late Audrey Mae and Raymond Albert Marshall Sr. Aunt of Michael McConnell (Julie), Amanda McConnell (Benton), Lance Lasiter (Jessica), and Cody Lasiter. Daughter-in-law of Loretta Milliet, and sister-in-law of Liz, Lisa, and Leslie. Preceded in death by her former husband, Barry Unowitz. Also survived by other nieces, nephews, and loving family members. Darlene was a native New Orleanian, and a graduate of Mt. Carmel Academy. She dedicated 20 years of her life to assisting with the operation of the family business, Marshall Brothers Lincoln-Mercury. This dedicated mother and grandmother has been a warrior in all that she has accomplished, battling not only the many obstacles she has had to overcome in life, but fighting to love and bring happiness to all those whom she touched throughout her time on this earth. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Thursday morning, January 29, 2015 at 11:00.
