

David Landauer passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 in Kenner, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his father Alfred Landauer, mother Golda Schill Landauer, daughter Genie Boyle, son-in-law Milton Thibodeaux Jr., and grandsons David Landauer Jr., Chad Strain, and Dale Lanclos. He is survived by his wife Elaine Hardouin Landauer, children Bea Strain (Chuck), David Landauer (Shelly), Deanne Dendinger (Troy), Alyce Thibodeaux (Milton), and Amy Southerland (Brandon), grandchildren Christina Strain, David Watson (Tiffany), Danielle Prather (Will), Brittany Landauer (Kaleigh), Ryan Landauer (Taylor), Ashley Landauer (James), Tailor Dendinger, Johnny Thibodeaux (Bri), Zachary Thibodeaux (Sabrina), Hali Southerland, and Graci Cathcart, and great-grandchildren David Watson Jr., Ella Jean Watson, Dylan Smith, Addie Prather, Harlie Landauer, Ryan Landauer Jr., Levi Landauer, James Galloway IV, Skylar Thibodeaux, and Milton Thibodeaux IV. David is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and siblings in-law.
David worked as a lift operator for A&P Warehouse for 34 years and was a 1964 graduate of Rugby Academy. David loved spending time with family and reminiscing old times with life-long friends. David was also happiest when he had a fishing pole in his hand.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Monday morning, February 7, 2022 beginning at 9:30 AM with a Prayer Service to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
