Deborah Pellegrin Masilla

Deborah Pellegrin Masilla, age 61, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. Beloved wife of Terry C. Masilla for 38 years. Mother of Deborah Cross and Michael C. Masilla. Grandmother of Nicholas West and Michael West. Daughter of the late Joseph L.J. Pellegrin, Sr. and Christina Persick Pellegrin. Sister of Joseph Pellegrin, Jr. (wife, Olga) and the late Suzanne Marie Noote (surviving husband, Jude). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Masilla was a graduate of Holy Angels High School in New Orleans, LA and was a graduate of Delgado Charity School of Nursing. She was a retired register nurse and had worked at East Jefferson General Hospital, University Hospital, Ochsner Hospital Main Campus and Hartford Insurance Company. Mrs. Masilla was a very dedicated nurse and always went above and beyond in caring for her patients. She will be remembered as a kind hearted generous soul. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial gathering at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Thursday afternoon, December 15, 2016 beginning at 1:00 PM followed by a Memorial Mass at 3:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
