

Dennis D. Geraci, 62, of Metairie, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Dennis was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and lived in Chalmette until Hurricane Katrina. He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Dominick D. Geraci and Marguerite Reites Geraci, and his beloved dog, Licorice. He is survived by his life partner and fiancé, Paige Pipitone, along with his goddaughters, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends, all of whom will miss him greatly.
Dennis played in the St. Bernard 13 & 14 Dixie All-Stars Baseball League and was part of the first team from St. Bernard Parish to win the All-Star World Series. Due to this event, his team was inducted into the St. Bernard Sports Hall of Fame. He graduated from Holy Cross High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Accounting from Loyola University. He loved all things baseball, especially the Chicago Cubs. He also loved the New Orleans Saints, LSU, and the Houston Astros, spending Sunday nights with the guys, and eating at his favorite restaurants. His father worked at the New Orleans Fairgrounds and often took Dennis with him. As a result, he developed a lifelong love for all things related to horse racing.
Dennis was in private practice as a Tax Accountant with clients all over the country for over 30 years. Those business relationships developed into lifelong friendships.
The family would like to recognize and thank Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus and Campassus Hospice for their kindness, compassion, and the excellent care extended to Dennis, Paige, family, and friends.

A Visitation for Dennis will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, Louisiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur at 11:00 AM in the Leitz-Eagan Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Cypress Grove Cemetery, 120 City Park Ave., New Orleans, Louisiana.
