On January 27, 2025, Diane F. Labrador left this life to reunite with her other loved ones in Heaven, and with God. She was born on March 21, 1953. She was a loving and longtime wife to her surviving husband, Jose' Rafael Labrador. They learned and loved together for half a century. They were married for 47 years and they knew one another for 50 years. She leaves behind her son, Miguel Lazaro Labrador (Jen) and her daughter, Adele Labrador Melancon (Peter). She had one grandson, Logan James Labrador. Her surviving siblings include Wayne Vincent Fuxan, Theresa Fuxan Chryssoverges (Joseph), Steven Lynn Fuxan (Terry), and Louis Joseph Fuxan Jr. (Carol) who will never forget the love she brought to their lives. She leaves behind her surviving sister-in-law, Cela L. McPherson (Glenn) along with three nieces and one nephew: Catherine, Robyn, Kimberly, and Sean.
She was preceded in death by her mom, Aline Cicero Fuxan and her father, Louis Joseph Fuxan Sr. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Paul Anthony Fuxan.
Diane had a number of virtues that showed through her every day. She was kind, loving, fair, wise, trustworthy, and diligent. Anything she put her mind to, she could and did accomplish. She opened, owned, and operated her own CPA business for over 34 years in Metairie alongside her brother, Wayne. In her earlier life, she had earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of New Orleans. Her hobbies throughout her life included: sewing, birdwatching, attending social events, jewelry-making, and gardening. She was creative and smart, and a local foodie customer. She gave the best hugs, and she had the most infectious laugh and facial expressions. She will be dearly missed. May she rest in peace always and may God bless her.
A service will be forthcoming in March.
