Dorothy Griffith Mart

Dorothy Griffith Mart, age 87, on Saturday, March 3, 2012. Beloved wife of Frank Phillip Mart for over 70 years. Born in New Orleans and a resident of Metairie for the past 67 years. Mother of Diane Mart Hudson (Eddy), Frankie Mart Arseneaux, Janeen Mart Prestenbach and James Griffith Mart. Preceded in death by her parents, Josephine Cassaly Grifffith and James Franklin Griffith, brothers Hugh and Gerald Griffith and granddaughter Bonnie Jean Prestenbach.

She was dearly loved and appreciated by 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Name Society and Senior Citizens at St. Christopher Church a former Girl Scout Leader and DAV member.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in St. Christopher the Martyr Church, 309 Manson Ave., Metairie, LA on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 12:30 pm, with visitation from 10:30 AM until service time at the church.
