Earl was my best friend Freddy's Dad, and always such a great guy. Freddy died when we were kids, which was incredibly difficult for me, but afterwards when I got older and I could handle Freddy's loss,  I would still on occasion visit with Earl. 
He went through some tough times after Freddy died, but Earl was always like a second father to me. There was a deep connection. We would play pool or shoot arrows with whatever his 'latest and greatest' bow had to offer. He loved showing me all of his computers managing his stock valuations and analysis.... and enthusiastically explaining it all. 
I was just looking him up, as my Dad passed recently and I wanted to let him know, and then I saw that he had passed away several years ago. I'm so sorry to see this.
I'll always remember Earl as the energetic, charismatic, passionate, kind, thoughtful, youthful guy that he was, who I grew to love as I spent most of my time at his house playing with Freddy when we were kids.
Earl was a great man. I wish that I would have been able to see him before he passed. My deepest sympathy and condolences to his loved ones. God Bless.

To Earl's Family, I have known Earl since grammar school. He was a great person. He was so full of life, such positive energy. Most of all he was a gentleman and never an unkind word. I so enjoyed seeing him dance at our 50th reunion. I loved visiting with him. He will be missed by me and I know our whole class of 62 West Jefferson. I will miss our weekly chats and night adventures to enjoy the local bands.  Earl greeted people with a big smile and warm caring heart. His outgoing  cheerful personality will be missed, but not forgotten. Until we meet again...

I heard of Earl's passing thru the Howard Weil Alumni group.  I worked with Earl at Howard Weil in the early 1970's and have only good memories of that time.  I was sorry to hear this news and send love and blessings to his family.  w/love, Kathy Phelan

I am so sad to hear of Earl's passing.  He was a good friend....we kept in touch for many years and he always made me laugh whenever we spoke on the phone.  I was fortunate to see him again after many years last October in Albuquerque and got to meet his lovely sweetheart, Sue.  

My heartfelt condolences to his family and to Sue.  Earl will definitely be missed by many.
