Errine Chelette Ferro, 71, passed away peacefully as angels took her in her sleep on Thursday, December 20, 2018. She was born in New Orleans on May 3, 1947 to the late Lathen and Viola Chelette. Errine was married 52 years to her loving husband, Lawrence Charles Ferro. She lived her life for her family, selflessly helping take care of everyone. She truly had a “Heart of Gold” and loved unconditionally as a devoted wife, mother, and “maw-maw”. Errine leaves behind her husband, Lawrence; her daughters, Kelly A. Ferro, Kristy F. Thibodeaux (Brandon), and Kacey F. Upton (Jason); Grandchildren; Parker Snyder, Molly Snyder, and Logan Upton; Siblings; Ernest Chelette (Debbie), Gerald Chelette (Elaine). She joins in heaven her brother and sister; Ronnie Chelette (Mary, living) and Deborah Lamonte (Joe, living). Errine was a member of the Kenner AARP 2624. She touched the lives of everyone she talked to. Each of them is very special and will cherish her memory always. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday, December 28, 2018, beginning at 9:00 am at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veteran’s Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, Louisiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 11316 River Road, St. Rose, Louisiana.
