Eugene Joseph Marcev

Eugene Joseph Marcev, age 79 years, was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, June 9, 2011. He was born in Bourg, LA on February 6, 1932 and resided in Metairie, LA for over 50 years. He was the devoted husband of the late Sarah Alice Marcev. His love for life and people will live through his survivors.

Eugene is survived by his three children, Ronald E. Marcev and Sue, Patricia M. Kilburn and husband Leroy P. Kilburn, Jr., and Darrell J. Marcev, 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; 1 brother, 2 sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Eugene lived passionately through the time he spent in the United States Marine Corps, the Farhad Grotto, and as a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 421.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Funeral Services from the chapel of THARP-SONTHEIMER-THARP, 1600 N. Causeway Causeway Blvd. at 43rd Street on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 12:00 Noon, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment in Masonic Cemetery, New Orleans.
