Frances Lucille Brown Rankin

Frances Brown Rankin, age 80 passed away peacefully Friday, December 09, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Wendell C. Rankin, and five children; Max, Diana Bye (Tim), Perry (Lynn), Roger (Michelle) and Judy Leaber (Al); six grandchildren, Dustin, Deidra, Danelle, Britney, Brandon and Zachary, her eight great-grandchildren; Desiree, Ian, Havana, Charli, Braxton, Demi and Daelyn, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; Luther Ryan Brown and Vonceil Jackson Brown, her siblings; the late Bill (Ellen), Tommy (Ruth) and John (Linda) Brown. She was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on March 25, 1936 and was a long time resident of Luling, in St. Charles Parish and more recently a resident of Hammond, Louisiana. Frances was a member of First Baptist Church of Luling, Louisiana for 44 years where she enjoyed singing with the church choir. She loved spending time with her family, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at both the Luling Living Center and Compassus Hospice care. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Luling, 921 Paul Maillard Rd, Luling, LA 70070, on Wednesday December 14, 2016 with a visitation with the family from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. with the memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Frances’ honor at the National Parkinson’s Foundation @ www.parkinson.org.
