Frederick M. Franklin

F. Michael Franklin, age 82, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013. Mike was born in Marshfield, WI to the late Michael V. Franklin and Rose Konop Franklin and has been a resident of New Orleans, LA since 1965. The beloved husband of Doris Doell Franklin. He is survived by 4 stepchildren; Denise D. Demars, Donna D. Duhe, Darren S. Dominique, Darrel J. Dominique, 3 grandchildren; Daniel J. Carriere, Dominique J. Duhe, Jacques S. Dominique, and 1 great- grandchild, Colton J. Carriere. After serving his country in the Army Special Services, he became a well known radio news broadcaster, first in Rockford, IL and then in New Orleans, LA. Mike served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister at Divine Mercy Catholic Church.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
