George H. Wright Jr.

George was born on August 1, 1941, in Mobile, Alabama. He married his high school sweetheart, Geraldine Wright, and together they built a beautiful life spanning nearly 65 years.

George dedicated his life to service, family, and community. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 5 years. After retiring from military service, he worked for Delta airlines and raised his family.

Beyond his career, George was a pillar of his community, working with the children’s leagues at the bowling alley. He loved bowling, and a good cigar. But most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and wife.

George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Geraldine; his daughter, Gidget Royes; his brothers, John, Mark, Willam and Chris and his sister-in-law, Althea Dragon.

He is survived by his son, Garrick Wright; his sister, Claire Wright; his grandchildren, Kristyne Moore, Krystal Tabary, Ian Wright, Givin Wright, Owen Wright, Serenity Royes, Justus Royes, and Ethan Wright and his dear friend, Donna Dupree.
